Jennifer graduated from Lynn Vocational Technical Institute and will be attending Endicott College to study Psychology w/ a concentration in Neuroscience and a minor in Biology in September.
At the age of 14, Jennifer was accepted to the only health careers high school in Boston and her interest in health care only expanded from there. She was provided the opportunity to participate in programs such as Harvard MedScience and Amphibious Achievement at MIT. Despite challenges, Jennifer excelled in her academics and had the opportunity to conduct research at Vertex Pharmaceuticals. Jennifer stated, “I believe what attracts me the most about the STEM field is that I can be as creative and as curious as I want.” With her STEM degree, Jennifer plans to open non-profit clinics internationally and become a researcher so she can solve the, “great mysteries of life.”
Hobbies: Playing Tennis, Photography, Visiting Art Museums, Volunteering and being a peer mediation leader
Dream Job: Plastic Surgeon
What change do you want to make with your STEM degree?: “I want to become a Plastic Surgeon and open clinics in the United States as well non-profit clinics internationally. I would also love to continue conducting scientific research at a graduate level. My goal in life is to help alleviate human suffering through healthcare, research, and activism at an international level. I am also seeking ways I can help the future generation interested in STEM either through mentorship or one day through a scholarship fund.
